“The boys are back in town”

We once believed that Deadpool and Wolverine’s team-up was a one-time event, but it turns out there are more wild adventures ahead.

While Deadpool & Wolverine might not be the film of the decade, it was packed with enough Easter eggs and clever secrets to keep fans buzzing for weeks.

However, the excitement surrounding the film, which received generally positive reviews, faded almost as quickly as it arrived.

For those longing to see the bromance between Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine reignite, you’re in luck—the duo is officially set to return in 2025. However, their wild adventures won’t be on the big screen this time. Instead, fans will get to enjoy their antics within the pages of a new comic series.

The upcoming Deadpool/Wolverine series is brought to life by writer Benjamin Percy and artist Joshua Cassara, a creative team whose chemistry mirrors that of the iconic duo themselves. Just as Deadpool and Wolverine make the perfect chaotic pair, Percy and Cassara have proven to be a match made in heaven for this project.

Fans who reveled in the bloody, action-packed chaos of the films can rest assured—the comics won’t shy away from the violence that made the duo so beloved. During an interview with IGN, Percy shared insight into what fans can expect from this highly anticipated series.

“Josh and I really hit it off while working together on X-Force and became great friends,” Percy recalled. “This is all to say: we were both so damn excited to get the band back together.”

He further elaborated, saying, “Deadpool/Wolverine is like us cartwheeling onto the stage, shredding our guitars while smoke machines churn and pyrotechnics explode all around us.”

It’s worth noting that this new series won’t be taking cues from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, the project had been in the works long before Disney even greenlit the upcoming film. So, fans can expect an entirely original and thrilling comic experience.
